Gas service: connection and activation

To connect to our network, request a quote for a new system.

You can do this with us, by registering on MyItalgas, or with the sales company you have chosen as a supplier. We will make an inspection and you will receive the quote: accept it to proceed with the request. If you choose ClickToGas Selfy, everything will be faster because the inspection is digital.

During the inspection, our technician will indicate any work to be carried out at your expense (e.g. preparation of the niche for the meter). Then, to start the work process, go to MyItalgas in the “My requests” section: fill in the forms, sign online and send the necessary documents and photos.

Once we have received all the documentation and obtained any permits under our care, we are ready to carry out the connection works. Our authorized technician will arrive at the indicated address, show you an identification card and will be the only one who can work on your meter.

At the end, it will give you a unique 14-digit code (PDR – point of redelivery) that identifies the newly created gas utility and the exact location where the gas is delivered from the supplier to the user. The PDR is also on the first page of the gas bill that you will receive from the sales company with which you sign a supply contract.

The sales company to which you have turned for the supply of gas will provide you with the necessary forms for the new activation (installation of a meter). More specifically:

• Annex H/40 – Confirmation of gas supply activation/reactivation request
• Annex I/40 – Certification of correct execution of the system.

Fill in and send this form together with the technical documentation issued by the installer, ensuring that the date of signing the I/40 form is NOT earlier than the date of request for activation to the sales company (shown at the top of the H/40 form, in the “seller section” box).

If the outcome of the assessment is positive, an appointment will be made to activate the supply. Otherwise, the anomalies must be corrected by the installer.

The connection times depend on various factors, including the availability of technical services, the approval of local authorities if it is necessary to apply for a permit and the complexity of the system to be installed.
