The DANA Remote Command and Control system allows you to manage the network of the Future
During 2023, we continued the development and integration project of DANA (Digital Advanced Network Automation), a revolutionary technology that allows automatic remote monitoring and control of the network, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
DANA accurately records and analyzes gas pressure and volume measurements, odorization level, as well as signals and alarms, representing a significant innovation in the industry.
By processing the information collected through algorithms, we predict and anticipate potential network malfunctions, improve operational efficiency, and make decisions in real time. Through DANA we also remotely control the distribution of renewable gases, such as hydrogen and biomethane. Thanks to a bidirectional inlet valve, in fact, our technicians can remotely stop the volumes of biomethane if the quality of the injected gas does not comply with standards.

2023
The DANA remote system controls 321 Italgas Reti plants, 73 Medea plants and 20 Toscana Energia plants.

By 2024
90% of the entire Italian plant fleet is expected to be controlled by DANA.

By 2026
The aim is to implement, through DANA, remote control of the entire plant park in Greece.
From the combination of digitalization and artificial intelligence we have developed in our Digital Factory DANA (Digital Advanced Network Automation): a unique software of its kind worldwide and that has allowed the complete remotizization of our gas network management.
