Italgas ranked first in the world for sustainability among Gas Utilities

Reconfirmed in the DJSI Europe and DJSI World indices. 

Milan, 23 December 2024 – Italgas was reconfirmed first in the world among Gas Utilities in S&P's Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment 2024 (CSA) for its outstanding performance in sustainability. Specifically, in the latest Assessment, Italgas scored 91 out of 100 (assessment date: Dec. 13, 2024) higher than other gas utilities assessed and improving its score from last year.

Following the Assessment, S&P confirmed Italgas' inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Europe (DJSI Europe) and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World (DJSI World) for the fourth and sixth consecutive years, respectively. The two indexes include companies that have excelled globally in their approach to sustainability. The results achieved confirm the validity of the strategic choices made by the Group including the integration of the Strategic Plan and the Sustainable Value Creation Plan in a path that sees the Group's commitment to improving all aspects related to sustainability steadily growing: from the flight to climate change, to value creation for the stakeholders and the local communities.

The confirmations in the DJSI Europe and DJSI World follow Italgas' other major achievements in 2024, such as the confirmation of the inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index Series and AA rating by MSCI ESG Ratings as well as the improvement of the ESG score recognized by Moody's ESG Solutions.
