Ideas4Italgas: our Open Innovation programme

Launched in 2020, Ideas4Italgas targets the world's best Startups and Scaleups to boost research and contribute to improving our performance.

What is Ideas4Italgas?

In 2020 we launched an open innovation program to select the best national and international startups and  SMEs  to support the transformation and sustainability of gas distribution networks. This is how our first Call for Innovation entitled “Gas grid of the future” was born.

Since 2022 we have introduced permanent scouting: a “radar” always active on technological and entrepreneurial innovations. The areas of interest are network monitoring, dispersion research, analytics and artificial intelligence, digitalization and IoT devices, renewable gases, measurement systems, operation & maintenance, people safety, processes for construction sites and network repurposing, sustainability and circular economy.

Are you a startup? Become part of the Italgas Innovation Ecosystem

We are constantly evaluating new solutions from innovative startups from all over the world that develop products and services with innovative, sustainable and original business models to support the transformation of gas distribution networks.

Open innovation is an approach that can be strategic because it allows companies to grow faster, be efficient and, above all, think differently.
