Cyber security

For the Italgas Group, which has placed the digital transformation of the network at the centre of its development strategies, the issue of IT protection is of primary importance. Our Cyber Security system is designed to prevent, recognize and reduce the risk of cyber attacks.

Our IT Security

We perform 24-hour monitoring and security event management through our Next Generation-SOC, a next-generation security operations center.

The Group’s cyber protection capabilities are complemented by Cyber Threat Intelligence services, structured to identify in advance cyber threats targeting the Group’s digital assets, information assets and reputation.

Our IT Security Policy

The function responsible for Cybersecurity (CSO) presents at least once a year, to the Board of Directors and the supervisory bodies, a report on the level of compliance with national and international regulations on Cyber security.
At that time, company policies relating to technical-organisational measures for risk management and the prevention of cyber incidents are also evaluated.

  • Information Security Update

    We pay great attention to the continuous improvement of our level of cybersecurity by introducing technological updates. We also periodically carry out business continuity tests and cybersecurity assessments.

  • Cyber Incident Coverage

    In the three-year period 2021-2023, we have not recorded any incidents related to cyber security that involved a data breach or compromise of company systems. As an instrument of greater protection, the Group also has an insurance policy to cover IT incidents.

  • Training initiatives for the corporate population

    In 2023 we promoted training courses aimed at our workers. The aim is to increase the level of expertise on threats and the evolution of Cybersecurity regulations.
